This & That: Sunglasses & Clutches

Sunglasses & Clutch combo from The Iconic | www.highwallsblog.com

I have never had any luck finding sun glasses that suit my face. No matter what shape or size, they never seem to sit quite right, you know? Usually I look for aviator’s, because - well- you can’t beat a classic! But even then they have to be the perfect pair, which I will inevitably break or lose within days of buying.

What I need is a timeless pair of chic oversized sunglasses, like these. While I’m at it, why not pick up an equally stylin’ giraffe print clutch. (Giraffe print is the grown up older cousin of leopard print and therefore obviously superior.) Am I  the only one who has issues with sunglasses? Does buying them with pretty bags help to solve the problem in any way? (please say yes!)

SHOP | Ban.do

Checking out the brand Ban.do @ www.highwallsblog.com

It is almost impossible for any regular readers of style blogs to not be aware of Ban.do‘s wonderful products. I’ve long been a fan of their sequinned heart hair clips and glittery headbands, but I recently was alerted their new range of super fun every day products. Patterned cups, colourful carry cases, even giant pink diamond speakers (and who doesn’t need one of those!) Ban.do is a candy coloured wonderland and I totally love it!

Christmas Picks from High Walls

XMASpicks

Christmas is Oh. So. Close. We here at High Walls are getting a little excited for Santa’s visit, so I asked our lovely contributors (and resident taste-makers) Victoria and Erika to share some of their favourite things this for this Christmas, and boy oh boy! Do these ladies have the best taste or what?! (I have some new additions to my own wish list now!) I’ll let Victoria and Erika tell you about their picks…

VICTORIA // OH SO PRETTY
These monogrammed mugs are gorgeous and perfect for the holiday season - it can be used to hold pencils on my desk, drink a cup of tea or hold some florals —— I’ve had my eye on this jewellery box for awhile. I love the simplicity of it, and the monogram adds the perfect, special touch —— The gold, chevron pattern is beautiful and this would make a great addition to my coffee table

ERIKA RAX // RECIPE CONTRIBUTOR
I’m itching to do a really big trip abroad next year so will be saving up all my pennies after xmas for one of these Tooth & Nail purses —— I’ll be giving store bought Christmas bon bons a little DIY makeover a la these Handmade Bon Bons from Fete Press —— I really love how these beautifully designed Artifact Uprising Photo Book allow me to take my Instagram obsession offline. They would make a great gift for every Instagram nut and is a great way to keep memories from the year in one place.

pana

Sometimes all you need is a simple, clever design to get you through the day. (Okay, you always need simple and clever design, but let me get to my point…) Thailand based company Pana Objects is a humble little brand who aim to reintroduce the subject of woodworking and craftsmanship back into the modern life with their own unique take on ‘simple and clever’. The small group of designs have created a whole collection of stylish pieces, ranging from household items and decorative products, to stationery and storage designs.

The smooth textures and clean lines featured throughout their range of products are right up my alley. Whether you’re like me and are completely enamored with tiny wooden caps for your iPhone charger in the shape of buildings and trees, or maybe you are looking for a modern take on desk organisation. Take a minute to visit the Pana Objects website and take a look at the whole collection. I promise you wont be disappointed!
